Boys Varsity Golf @ Sturgis Invitational

On Friday, May 3rd, the HCP boys varsity golf team participated in the Sturgis Invitational at Klinger Lake Golf Course. It was pretty much a two horse race, between HCP and Gull Lake. The young Irish squad stood up to the experienced Blue Devils pretty well and were nearly dead even with the Blue Devils until the final 6 holes. Gull Lake shot 317 and the Irish finished with 336, good enough for 2nd place overall. Will Verduzco shot 78, and Ryan Chafty 79, to lead the team. Those two scores were good enough to place 2nd and 3rd overall. Congratulations Irish!
