The HCP Boys Varsity Golf Team did not have to travel far to play in the state Regional Tournament held at Milham Golf Course on Thursday, 5/30. Against 17 other schools, the Irish worked to avenge their second place 2018 finish. After a wet start, the Irish settled in and finished strong scoring a 308 and winning the Regional Championship by 45 strokes! Ryan Chafty was the #1 medalist with a 74. Both Tommy Keyte and Will Verduzco carded 76 followed by Aidan Gillig's 82 and Ben Bridenstine's 84. All five scores placed in the top eight of the region's golfers! The young Irish are peaking at the right time and will head to GVSU's The Meadows next weekend for the State Tournament, their 13th consecutive appearance. Good luck Irish!!
