The reigning state champion HCP Boys Tennis Team kicked off their 2020 season on Friday afternoon, August 21st, hosting perennial power Traverse City St. Francis. There was some very exciting matches played including at #2 Singles with Jack Ford earning a tough 3-set win and the #1 Doubles team of Ben Bridenstine & Rhodes Conroy taking down two defending state champions at #1 doubles (returning 1D & 3S state champions). Last, but not least, Niklas Johansson at #4 Singles battled back from a set down to earn a hard fought 3-set win to secure an Irish team 4-4 tie. Solid team effort against a strong opponent who already had multiple matches under their belt this year.  Results below:
