On the last of five consecutive days of very competitive play, the HCP Boys Tennis Team defeated #5 ranked Grand Rapids NorthPointe Christian, 6-2, Friday afternoon, 9/25/20. Coaches DeForest and Conroy were exceedingly pleased with how the team responded during a tough stretch of the season.

The host Mustangs came out strong early with leads in several matches. The Irish then settled in and played solid tennis in most flights. A real nice effort from Niklas Johansson at #4 Singles pulling out a first set tie-breaker, then playing a superb second set earning a straight set win. The Irish also got what was likely their best match of the year at #3 Doubles with Jack Gordon and Marcus Alcaraz netting a convincing 6-3, 6-1 win. Great job to these and all the guys!  Complete flight results:
