The HCP Boys Tennis Team crushed the Otsego Bulldogs this morning (10/7/20) and are now the 2020 District Champions! Seven of the 8 flights came through with straight set wins and Senior Nicholas DeForest did a nice job digging out of a 3-5 hole in the 3rd set winning 4 straight games to close out his #1 Singles match 6-2, 3-6, 7-5. Leading the 8-0 team victory was the play of #2 Doubles, especially Matthew Chafty who stepped in at the last moment and played great tennis with Anthony Toweson, netting a 6-0, 6-2 win in their flight. 

The Irish will stay in town next week when 15 other D-IV schools come to Kalamazoo County for the State Championships!!  Complete match results:
