HCP Men's Tennis matched up evenly with cross-town rival Kalamazoo Christian on 8/29 with each team pulling out four victories.  The young Irish squad battled until the very end.  Tight matches with 5 of 8 flights playing a 3rd set.  Great early season test for both teams.  Fantastic play from Singles Nicholas DeForest at #1, Ben Bridenstine at #3 (playing his best tennis) and the match of the day with Connor Cavanaugh at #4 grinding out a come from behind 3-setter to secure the tie.  Nice Win from the 3D team of Anthony Toweson & David Chafty, as well!  Coach Conroy says, "we'll continue to improve" and is proud of the effort.  Complete results:

The HCP Men's Tennis Team opened their season by hosting a quad event that included Jackson Lumen Christi, Grand Rapids West Catholic and Kalamazoo Christian.  The Irish took on JLC and GRWC and fell short of team victories but their play produced a lot of positives.  Special shout out to #1 Doubles team of Blake DeForest & Rhodes Conroy and #4 Doubles team of Anthony Toweson & Jack Gordon, who both went 2-0 on the day.  Results:
